The map is created using Ordnance Survey OpenSpace API including their loadurl AJAX method. Zoom in on the map and you'll see it's a real OS map! We also have a version using Google Maps.
All skycam images are hosted by individuals or organisations usually as part of a weather station site. We last checked their online status on May 14th 2009.
